Mount Yoshino吉野山

Cherry blossoms at Mt. Yoshino is called “Ichimoku Senbon” (a thousand cherry blossom trees in one glance), which indicates the large scale of cherry  blossom trees here. Every spring, light and dark pink flowers flourish from the foot of the mountain to the peak, mainly in 4 areas- Shimosenbon, Nakasenbon, Kamisenbon, and Okusenbon. A viewing platform at Kamisenbon provides amazing panoramic landscape. It takes 2 hours from ascending to descending.

How to visit

Access: Get to JR Yoshino-guchi Station from JR Nara, JR Kyoto, and JR Osaka Stations, then take the Kintetsu Railway train to Yoshino Station which is at the base of Mt. Yoshino.
