Showa Memorial Park/Showa Kinen Park国営昭和記念公園

Opened in 1983, the huge Showa Memorial Park is 30 minutes from Tokyo by train. The park is a paradise of flowers and trees. In spring, sakura, canola flowers and tulip flourish one after another. Every year Flower Festival is held from the middle of March to late May. Because it is so big that do leave one or half day to explore the park. Bicycle rental service is available for 410 Yen/3 hours.
