Built on the 68-metre high Mt. Atago in 72 A.D., Atago Shrine is the most time-honoured shrine in Fukuoka. The shrine is said to be effective if you pray for something like health, wealth, love, academic success etc.. Enjoying night view from Atago Shrine is highly recommended, because you can not only admire the marvelous night landscape of Fukuoka city, but also 2,000 illuminated cherry blossoms.
