Sitting on the 132-metre high Mt. Katsuyama in the centre of Matsuyama, Matsuyama Castle is one of few castles in Japan owns cable cars. It is worth mentioning that Matsuyama Castle is one of 12 Edo-period castles in Japan that still preserve the main keep. Taking a commanding view from the tower, you can see 200 cherry trees in the square, city view of Matsuyama and even dotted islands on the Seto Inland Sea.
