As one of the imperial moats, Chidorigafuchi was named because of its wingslike shape. Planted along the bank, petals of up to 800 cherry trees scatter on the river in the breeze. Illumination is available in sakura festival till 22:00. Taking boat to enjoy the dreamlike blossoms is once-in-a-lifetime experience.
