<p>UNESCO world heritage listed Daigoji Temple is so renowned due to a grand hanami (cherry blossoms viewing) party hosted by one of Japan’s unifiers, Hideyoshi Toyotomi in 1598. Vast temple houses over 1,000 sakura trees which are scattered at Sampo-in, Buddhist monastery and Reihokan and visitors can buy combined ticket for 1,500 Yen. There are shuttle buses go back and forth between the temple’s entrance and Daigoji station (Tozai Subway Line) during sakura season, 300 Yen/ person for round-trip ticket.</p>
